Stormwater, Sediment and Erosion Control

Erosion Control and Water Quality.  Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) for the US EPA’s National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) regulatory program are comprehensive construction plans to aid contractors in developing a site in compliance with maintaining water quality.

SWPPPs address all relevant aspects of site development from sequencing, to materials handling, to Best Management Practices and inspection reporting requirements.

GES has also been important part of the promotion of proper erosion and sediment control design and implementation through seminars and workshops on NPDES and erosion and sediment control.

Stormwater Pollution Prevention Design.
GES provides design and consulting services for solutions to storm water issues related to site design in conjunction with regulatory requirements and NPDES.

Among those solutions are design of water quality treatments such as wetland detention basins, working with new technologies sites such as swirl separators and large-scale filters, and analysis of pre-and post-storm water conditions as they relate to water quality.

Expert analysis understands and mitigates impacts of site development’s stormwater treatment systems to wetlands and streams.
