Soil Mapping and Analyses
GES is considered a leader of soil mapping and the maintenance of standards in New England. Jim Gove, our President, has specifically assisted in the development of standards for High Intensity Soil Surveys, Site Specific Soil Mapping, and Soil-based Lot Sizing, part of community and state-wide environmental regulations.
Our soil scientists utilize soil interpretations and classifications for a variety of uses, including lot sizing, drainage, septic system location, hydrologic groups for runoff calculations, pond construction, erosion potential, and agricultural uses.
