Wetlands
Wetland Delineation
Gove Environmental Services, Inc. has delineated tens of thousands of acres of wetlands in New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont.
Teamwork approaches are utilized to delineate quickly and efficiently very large (and significant) to very small sites. Delineations include disturbed or marginal sites with very difficult delineations of legally defensible boundaries
Highly accurate delineations are also among the reasons why GES is frequently invited to provide training and information to state, local, and federal regulators, other industry professionals, and the public.
Wetland Evaluation and Impact Assessment.
Wetland evaluations and impact assessments by GES help guide project planning for residential, commercial, and municipal development.
Identification of higher value wetlands on a property in the early stages of development leads to avoidance of environmentally sensitive areas, better project design and a smoother permitting process. The ability to document previously unknown limited value of low-functioning wetlands has resulted in obtaining wetland impact permits that otherwise may not have been possible without such documentation.

Prime Wetland and Wetland Inventory Studies
GES has prepared Prime Wetland studies in the Towns of Salem, Newton, Hampton and Hampton Falls, is the Wetland Management consultant for the Pease Development Authority, including its Tradeport-wide Wetland Inventory project, and is the wetland services consulting firm for City of Portsmouth City-Wide Wetland Inventory.
Projects included updates to existing studies (Salem) and complete inventories of the municipalities’/independent entity’s wetland areas [Newton, Portsmouth, Pease, Hampton Falls (Taylor River Watershed Study)].
Functions, values, ecological conditions, habitat connectivity and recommendations for designation/protection were provided in the studies.
